Dear
Friends, |
| As the producer
of our touring show, IN THE MOOD, I have always wanted to share my
enthusiam for big band music and its impact on our modern culture. |
| The 1940s was
the single most important decade of the 20th century. America was
at war and millions of people fought overseas and were supported
by those at home. It was a time when all America was listening, dancing
and singing to the same kind of music. This was the music that moved
the nation’s spirit! |
| Included in
this catalog are CDs that I believe represents the best of the big
bands. From Glenn Miller, Tommy Dorsey, Benny Goodman, Artie Shaw and Harry
James to lesser known names as Bunny Berigan, Freddy Martin, Skip Fields all
represented the energy and excitment of the times. Fronted by vocal groups
and solo vocalists including Frank Sinatra, Helen Forrest, Helen O’Connell,
Ella Fitzgerald, Peggy
Lee and Dick Haymes, the big bands influenced every American. |
| If you have
not yet seen our show, IN THE MOOD, or have friends or loved ones
who would like to attend a performance, please visit my web site for continuous
touring dates throughout the United States. |
